HABITATION MURAT

In 1839, with its 207 slaves, the Murat estate was the largest sugarcane plantation in Guadeloupe. Legend has it that it was Jeanne Laballe, a former fine arts student and wife of Dominique Murat, who designed the château in the early 19th century.
Today, it is an eco-museum of Popular Arts and Traditions
