Fort Napoléon is a fort located on the island of Terre-de-Haut, in the Saintes archipelago. It is built at the top of Morne Mire, at an altitude of 114m overlooking the Bay of Saintes, on the site of an earlier fort originally called "Fort Louis" and renamed Fort Napoléon in 1805 shortly before its destruction by the English. Completely rebuilt in 1867, under the reign of Napoleon III, it never served as a fortress during wartime, but as an internment camp until the beginning of the last century.
