Discover the lagoon and its mangrove forest in 7 stages, including 4 swimming/snorkelling stops: the mysterious white islet, the bird islet, a 17-metre shipwreck just below the surface, giant starfish, the natural pool 3 km off the coast, the coastal mangrove forest and the Carénage islets. A discovery tour of Cédric Coutelier’s organic vanilla plantation. Cédric offers 100% organic vanilla, sold as black pods, processed by scarification and aged for around 9 months. His vanilla was awarded a gold medal at the International Agricultural Show in 2020 and 2024.

The Carbet Waterfalls
Practical info: Capesterre-Belle-Eau – 63 km – 1h41.

Three waterfalls on the Grand Carbet River, in Guadeloupe National Park, at the foot of the Soufrière volcano. The first waterfall drops 115 m in two stages (3-hour round trip from the car park); the second, 110 m high, is the best known (45-minute round trip); the third, 20 m high, flows into a magnificent circular pool. It is said that Christopher Columbus spotted the first two falls from the shore in November 1493. Please note: access to the area around the third fall has been prohibited by a local by-law since 2008 following a rockslide.
The ACTe Memorial

The ACTe Memorial, the “Caribbean Centre for Expression and Remembrance of the Slave Trade and Slavery”, is a place dedicated to the collective memory of slavery and the slave trade, with a focus on the contemporary world.
It is situated in the harbour of Pointe-à-Pitre, on the site of the former Darboussier sugar factory, and was inaugurated on 10 May 2015 to mark the national commemoration of the abolition of slavery.
The Bouillante Hot Springs
Practical information: Bouillante – 16 km – 27 min.

The town of Bouillante didn’t get its name out of thin air: it is known for its numerous hot springs reaching temperatures of up to 80 °C, which have been used since the 19th century for their healing properties. The water flows into the sea at a temperature of 45 °C — a natural hot bath overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
Moustique Canyon
Practical information : Petit-Bourg – 38 km – 49 min.

The Moustique Canyon is an extraordinary spot for river swimming. The site is exceptionally beautiful, with its imposing rock faces topped by lush vegetation, which only swimmers can fully discover: the river bends in the middle of the canyon and you have to swim to explore its full length.
The Petite-Terre
Nature Reserve
Practical information : Saint-François – 77 km – 1h40.
Petite-Terre Islands: a 45-minutes to 1h30 boat crossing.
Departures daily between 7.00 am and 8.00 am.
Number of visitors limited by prefectural decree.

There are several options for exploring Petite-Terre, ranging from all-inclusive day packages to boat hire with or without a skipper. As well as turtles, the lagoon’s waters are home to numerous species: fire parrotfish, angelfish, black surgeonfish, colas, slender-tailed cardinalfish, sheephead, trumpetfish, stingrays and leopard rays, lobsters, lemon sharks and bottlenose dolphins.

Les Saintes, Terre-de-Haut :
Pain de Sucre and Fort Napoléon
Practical information : Trois-Rivières – 66 km – 1h14.
CTM Deher ferry crossing: 20 mins; departures daily at 8.15 am and 9.00am, return at 3.45pm and 5.00pm — a €4 discount when booking a ticket more than 24h in advance.

Head for the Saintes archipelago! CTM Deher offers a crossing from Trois-Rivières to Terre-de-Haut or Terre-de-Bas in just 20 minutes, combining comfort and safety. Once there, two must-see attractions: Pain de Sucre beach, renowned for its tranquillity, crystal-clear water and exceptional seabed – one of the most beautiful beaches in Les Saintes, at the foot of a 52-metre-high volcanic hill; and Fort Napoléon, built atop Morne Mire at an altitude of 114 metres, overlooking the Bay of Les Saintes. Rebuilt in 1867 under Napoleon III, it was never used as a fortress in times of war but served as an internment camp until the beginning of the last century.
