The Saut de l'Acomat is a waterfall located on the Grande Plaine River, east of Route Nationale 2 between Mahaut and Pointe-Noire, at the place called Les Plaines, before the Caribbean beach. It is accessible via a very rough road, then via an unmarked footpath that can be very slippery. Do not go down in flip-flops!
The site is potentially subject to the risk of flash flooding which can occur after storms occurring upstream.
